Everything we do at Zion Baptist comes down to three simple callings: make disciples, mature believers, and multiply ministries.
Jesus didn't call us to fill pews. He called us to make disciples. That starts with the gospel: Jesus Christ died for sinners, rose from the grave, and saves everyone who calls on His name. We share that good news at the kitchen table, the ballfield, and the feed store, and we send it to the ends of the earth through missions.
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."
Mark 16:15 (NKJV)

Getting saved is the starting line, not the finish line. A baby that never grows up is a heartbreak, and so is a Christian who never grows. So we open the Bible verse by verse on Sunday mornings, dig in together on Sunday evenings and Wednesday nights, and walk with each other through the mountaintops and the valleys.
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
2 Peter 3:18 (NKJV)
Every member is a minister. God didn't give you gifts to keep in a jar on the shelf. From the nursery to the kitchen, the choir loft to a mission trip, there's a place for you to serve. And when one ministry grows, it plants seeds for the next.
"As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."
1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV)

The Zion Family
Sinners saved by amazing grace.
We're not perfect people. We're sinners saved by God's amazing grace, and we've been gathering in these foothills since 1854. If you're looking for a church home, come as you are. We'd love to meet you.
